The “Faith and Heritage” tour takes you in a pilgrimage to discover the most adored devotion in Portugal: the one of Nossa Senhora de Fátima (Our Lady of Fátima).

Whether you are a believer or not, it is impossible to feel indifferent at this place of great spirituality.

You'll also get to learn about one of the most important events of Portuguese history: the heroic battle of Aljubarrota after which the
beautiful Mosteiro da Batalha (Batalha Monastery) was built.

Besides, you'll discover Nazaré and Óbidos, two of the most beautiful villages in the heart
of Portugal.

- We’ll pick you up where you’re staying, heading North to Fátima;

- At the Fátima Sanctuary you'll find an amazing ambiance of devotion, one of the world's most powerful, and learn about the legend of the Virgin’s apparition to three children in 1917 that inspired it;

- Then we'll turn West to the coast, stopping at Batalha for a quick visit to the Batalha Monastery (a UNESCO World Heritage site) , one of the most one of the most fascinating Gothic monuments in Europe;

- Lunch will be taken at Nazaré, the fishing village, where you can taste fresh seafood while admiring the ocean;

- After lunch, there will be time to visit the Sítio, high at the cliffs surrounding Nazaré, to learn about the legend of Nossa Senhora da Nazaré (the statue of Our Lady of Nazaré is one of the oldest Christian’s piece of art);

- Then, we'll head back South taking the beautiful Atlantic Road, passing by S. Martinho do Porto and Lagoa de Óbidos, on our way to Óbidos, a precious medieval walled village, where you'll have some free time to wander around its narrow cobbled streets and maybe enjoy a very typical Ginjinha (local liqueur made of cherry).
