The "Golden Plains" tour is a true journey into the History of Portugal…and Humanity.
Since the pre-historic to the renascence period, tHrough the roman occupation and the medieval era, the Évora region has it all.
You’ll be a witness to the unveiled mysteries of pre-historic people that inhabited the region at the Cromeleque dos Almendres, and discover some of the heritage left by the romans in this region, like the Temple of Diana.
Also wander around at the amazing Évora Cathedral, astonished by its medieval beauty,
and
be surprised by the XVI century's Chapel of Bones, a morbid reminder of life's brevity.

- We’ll pick you up where you’re staying, heading South through the 25th April Bridge and heading to Évora;
- At the UNESCO classified walled city center of Évora, you'll start by visiting the impressive Temple of Diana, a temple once dedicated to Augustus, the mighty Roman Emperor;
- Right beside the roman temple, you'll find the imponent Évora Cathedral, an amazing gothic monument church, where you will be able to feel the magnitude of the catholic church's power in those times;
- You'll have free time to lunch in the old town, discovering the beauties of its narrow streets;
- After lunch, nothing like visiting the beautiful St. Francisco Church, before entering into the dark Chapel of Bones, an impressive reminder of your own mortality;
- Leaving Évora, you'll go back in time again while visiting the candid Tourega Roman Villa, learning how a roman farm lived;
- If we have the time you’ll also visit Anta Grande do Zambujeiro, a megalithic monument considered one the biggest such structure in the Iberian Peninsula;
- To finish the tour, another jump into our deepest past at the Cromeleque dos Almendres, the Megalithic Circle that still keeps its mysteries to the scientific community.
