The "Tagus Vineyards" takes you to a land of tradition, bullfighting and wine, amid other agricultural productions, as Ribatejo is one of the most fertile regions in Portugal.

It is a place where the most noble families in the kingdom had their estates, some of them known to exist since the XII century.

It was the Royal Family's favourite place for hunting, and the Falcoaria Real, where falcons were trained for hunting, is there to remind it.

Come in a journey to discover some of the most beautiful wine making estates, discover the flavour of the best Portuguese wines and learn how they are made in the finest traditional way.

- We’ll pick you up where you’re staying, and head North to the beautiful Ribatejo region;

- Start the day at Quinta da Lagoalva, a place filled with History, visiting the Estate in a traditional Horse Carriage and tasting their wonderful wines;

- After spending the morning at Lagoalva, head to Vieira do Escaroupim, a beautiful bay on the Tagus margins where ancient fisherman villages are still remembered and preserved;

- You can have lunch (not included) either at Vieira do Escaroupim or go to try the famous Sopa da Pedra (Stone Soup) at Almeirim;

- After lunch, you'll visit the Falcoaria Real, part of the ancient Paço Real (Royal Family Estate) in the region, where falcons are still trained as they used to be for hunting purposes;

- Afterwards, we'll go either to Casa Cadaval, one of the most important Estates in the region belonging to one of the oldest families in Portugal, or to Quinta do Casal Branco, an example of the new generation of winemakers;

- The road back to Lisbon will let you enjoy the wonderful views over the Tagus River and the Lezíria Ribatejana.
